Progressive doom band, SNOW BURIAL, have today released a new single, the proceeds of which will go towards supporting the Brave Space Alliance in their native Chicago. Painting the Streets With Our Blood is available to stream everywhere now, and to purchase via Bandcamp – who are today waiving their fees meaning that more money is able to be donated. Tasmanian extreme metal stalwarts, PSYCROPTIC, have today unveiled a new video for their track Beyond The Black. The song is from their 2018 album, As The Kingdom Drowns; the video was filmed in 2019.

Heavy-slow duo BISMUTH confirmed that they will release In Tenbrix Lux a special one-off track, this coming Friday, July 3. The song was commissioned by Burning Wheel to accompany the Kickstarter campaign they ran for their new game Torchbearer, and also features contributions from VILE CREATURE. The track will be released via Bandcamp this Friday, when the music platform will waive their fees; proceeds will go towards Black Lives Matter charities and The Forest Carbon Project, which aims to plant new trees and restore peatlands so increasing the carbon storage capacity in the UK.

Heavy alternative progressive outfit, FOUR STROKE BARON, have today released the latest in a string of cover songs taken from their upcoming album, Monoqueen. Having already given the once over to The Beatles, Red Rider and Death Grips, they have now turned their attention to Tones on Tail’s track Burning Skies. Monoqueen will feature six cover songs in total, plus five re-recordings from their debut self-released album, King Radio. Burning Skies is streaming everywhere now and the video can be viewed below. Death metal trailblazers, VENOM PRISON, have today announced a new release titled, Primeval. The 11-track album will feature re-recordings of tracks from their early EPs, Defy The Tyrant and Primal Chaos, as well as two brand new tracks. The first track from Primeval is a re-working of Defy The Tyrant, which is streaming everywhere now, and features an accompanying video which can be viewed below. Chicago-based atmospheric ensemble, VARAHA, have today unveiled details of a new single – featuring members of Napalm Death, SubRosa and Veil of Maya – which was entirely recorded during the lockdown necessitated by Covid-19. The track, titled Reves is a re-imagining of the track Severance from their 2019 album, A Passage For Lost Years. A trailer for the track – created by Chariot of Black Moth – can be viewed below, and the single will be available digitally on June 26.

The video for this two-part opus is taken from the VHS version of the album and is premiering now via Brooklyn Vegan. Glory, Glory! Apathy Took Helm! will be released on June 19 and is available to pre-order now.

Liverpool-based black metal trio, DAWN RAY’D, have announced a limited edition version of their latest album, Behold Sedition Plainsong to benefit Refugee Rescue charity. The red and black variant is limited to 100 copies and will be made available via Bandcamp only, this Friday, June 5; on that day, Bandcamp will waive their fees for all artists, meaning the maximum amount of money can be donated to Refugee Rescue.
