Prosthetic Records has signed melodic death metal outfit, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE. The Connecticut four-piece will release their debut album, titled Echoes From Deep November, via the label this September. To mark the signing, the band have released a video for their track, The Climb, which was filmed under locked down conditions in recent weeks. Prosthetic Records has signed Irish thrashers, GAMA BOMB, who are currently preparing to record an album for release in the fall. Today they have announced a stand alone single that will benefit homelessness charity, Dublin Simon Community. Produced by guitarist Domo Dixon with additional drum production by the band’s long-term producer Scott Atkins (Cradle Of Filth, Sylosis), and featuring the band’s former drummer Paul Caffrey, Living For The Lockdown is available to stream everywhere from today.

Offbeat Australian artist Rebel Wizard has returned with a full-length LP of heavy negative wizard metal that follows 2018’s critically acclaimed Voluptuous Worship of Rapture and Reponse (which received “Best Of” accolades from Pitchfork, Metal Hammer, LA Weekly, Kerrang!, Metal Sucks, Stereogum and more). His new 10-song album, Magickal Mystical Indifference, will be released July 10th on Prosthetic Records. Today, Rebel Wizard has shared the album’s first single “not rain but the wizards tears” of which he comments, “You might remember the day last year where upon the entire globe was drenched in non-stop rain. Well, let us reveal the truth of that down pour. It was on that day the wizard held his cat as she was injected with the no more. So it was not rain but the wizards tears. The song did then follow.”

Heavy alternative progressive outfit, FOUR STROKE BARON, have today released a new single – a cover of Red Rider’s Lunatic Fringe. The track is taken from their upcoming album, Monoqueen, which will feature six cover songs in total, plus five re-recordings from their debut self-released album, King Radio. The video for Lunatic Fringe can be viewed below. Monoqueen will be released via Prosthetic Records on September 25, pre-orders are available now.

As Prosthetic Records prepares to release the debut album from WEREWOLVES

this Friday, Metal Injection has premiered the record in full. A supergroup of sorts, who would no doubt argue that there’s rarely anything super about them, WEREWOLVES is Dave Haley (Psycroptic, Ruins, King), Matt Wilcock, and Sam Bean (both of The Bezerker, The Antichrist Imperium). Their first long player – titled The Dead Are Screaming – is set for release this Friday, April 24 and is available to pre-order now.
