Chicago’s VARAHA have once again teamed up with videographer, David Leep, to create a video to support the #SaveOurStages campaign – drawing attention to the way the live music industry has been effected during the pandemic. The track is Irreparable, taken from VARAHA’s 2019 album, A Passage For Lost Years. The video is premiering via Brooklyn Vegan now. The creatives previously joined forces to create a haunting cinematic view of the city during the Covid-19 lockdown, titled Karantinas.

Death metal trailblazers, VENOM PRISON, have today released the second single from their upcoming album, Primeval. Daemon Vulgaris first appeared on the band’s 2015 EP, The Primal Chaos, and has been re-recorded for the 11-track album. Primeval features re-recordings of tracks from both their early EPs, Defy The Tyrant and Primal Chaos, as well as two brand new tracks. Primeval will be released by Prosthetic Records on October 9, pre-orders are available here.

Heavy pop group, FOUR STROKE BARON, have today released the latest in a string of cover songs taken from their upcoming album, Monoqueen. The most recent artist to get a FOUR STROKE BARON makeover is CHVRCHES, with the band covering their track, Lungs. The accompanying video is a stop-motion masterpiece from Thomas J. Yagodinski, which can be viewed above. Monoqueen will feature six cover songs in total, plus five re-recordings from their debut self-released album, King Radio.
