Connecticut, US melodic death / doom band FIRES IN THE DISTANCE are today premiering a new single and music video, titled Crumbling Pillars of a Tranquil Mind, via Invisible Oranges. Crumbling Pillars of a Tranquil Mind is the final pre-release track to be taken from their forthcoming sophomore album, Air Not Meant For Us, which is set for release via Prosthetic Records on Friday (April 28).

Testudines is the third track to be taken from the Oakland, CA blackened progressive metal group’s upcoming sophomore album, Velvet Incandescence, which is due out via Prosthetic Records on April 21.

BATTLE BORN are today premiering their new single and music video, Dragon Heart, via Distorted Sound. Dragon Heart is the Southampton, UK power metal group’s second single to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, Blood, Fire, Magic and Steel, which is due for release via Prosthetic Records on May 12. Dragon Heart’s video was produced by Quenvy Malavé, bringing the band’s Skyrim-inspired fantasy world to life as animated illustrations.

British / Irish death metal group DEATHCOLLECTOR have today announced their signing to Prosthetic Records. Alongside the news of their signing, the band (featuring members of Bolt Thrower, Memoriam, Ashen Crown, Zealot Cult and more) will be releasing their debut album, Death’s Toll, on June 23rd. The lead single, A Taste of Ichor, and accompanying lyric video is available to stream on all platforms and watch now.

Cybergrind band THOTCRIME have today shared two new remixes for D1G1T4L_DR1FT album track I Couldn’t End Me, So I’d Like To See You Try, by both NeoSlave and SevenChakras. The remixes delve further into THOTCRIME‘s electronic influences, namely breakbeat, following the release of their 2022 sophomore full-length.

Hallucinative Terror is the second track to be taken from the Christchurch, New Zealand progressive death metal group’s upcoming fourth album, Rejecting Obliteration, due out on May 19 via Prosthetic Records. The song and video, directed by Matt Evlampieff, shines a spotlight on BLINDFOLDED AND LED TO THE WOODS’ native country’s mental health crisis.
