Speaking on the album and signing announcement, guitarist Nathe Sinfield comments: “This album is raw, abrasive, chaotic and exactly what we set out to create. I had been out of the metal scene for a few years when I started writing music for OUTERGODS and I wanted to make something that ticked all the boxes of the extreme metal I like and tend to go back and re-listen to repeatedly.

“I’ve been a fan of Prosthetic Records since I bought New American Gospel by Lamb of God in the early 00s and it has been an important part of the music that shaped what I write to this day, due to the vast number of iconic releases the label has under its belt. To now be a part of its roster is amazing and I can’t wait to see what happens next.”

The formative months of OUTERGODS‘ existence were marked by separation as they wrote what would become their first full-length release throughout 2020. Finding a route towards escapism, founding members Nathe Sinfield (Lost Outrider) and Sam Strachan (Raised By Owls) realised that many of their personal struggles and anxieties were being channelled into the writing process. In the face of inner turmoil and an uncertain world, the pair found solace in their love for extreme metal – in particular ‘90s death metal – and set about creating an album that recreated the adrenaline and obnoxiousness of the albums that helped shape their own tastes.
