TÓMARÚM are today premiering their debut album, Ash in Realms of Stone Icons, in full via Decibel. Across Ash in Realms of Stone Icons’ seven songs TÓMARÚM merge both emotive progressive black metal and blistering technical death metal - with an emphasis on melancholic tremolo picked chords and aggressive pedal-point riffs - over precise and dynamic drumming accentuated by fretless bass, tasteful orchestrations, and a wide variety of vocal styles.

FOUR STROKE BARON have today released a video for the track Prostitute Part II: Pretty Woman (Makes Money) taken from their third full length album, Classics. Chicago, IL upstarts MOLDER have today crawled out of the boneyard with renewed vengeance, announcing their sophomore album Engrossed in Decay - due for release via Prosthetic Records on July 15. Alongside the album announcement, MOLDER have premiered the title track and an accompanying visualizer via Invisible Oranges.

Speaking on the album announcement and track premiere Aaren Pantke (vocals / guitar) comments: "We're absolutely stoked to finally release our first offering via Prosthetic Records. That said, we felt Engrossed In Decay was just as appropriate of a song, if any, to showcase first.

"We chose Engrossed In Decay as the title track of the new record as it totally encompasses our sound, past and present. It has all the elements of MOLDER; doom, death, thrash, and punk. Clocking in at just above 4 minutes, this ripper is chock full of death-obsessed lyrical content, bass breaks, pounding drums, and nasty riffs... what more could ya ask for?"

Conceptually, Engrossed in Decay collects the sonic aesthetics of the in-song samples, death-obsessed lyrics, and colorful mucus and blood themes into a cohesively gross package. This is the type of gift found in medical waste repositories or in the aftermath of a kitchen knife rampage. One look at the cover illustrated by Lucas Korte (Blood Incantation, Tomb Mold), and MOLDER’s sordid intentions are immediately evident. This is blood-curdling, gore-hurling death metal from graves licentiously disturbed.

MOLDER took Engrossed in Decay to Studio Novy, where they hooked up with Cheyenne Brandt (Vanished Cadavers, and Chicago Metal Hell Vol 2) again to engineer and mix. Cianide’s Scott Carroll joined the sessions as steward, ensuring that the death metal performed by MOLDER and captured by Brandt sounded absolutely abhorrent and fetidly fresh. Two weekends were spent at Studio Novy to get Engrossed in Decay firmly out of the ground. The final mix went to Philadelphia-based mastering ace Arthur Rizk (Creeping Death, Temple of Void). The result is an engrossing experience, nasty to the touch yet riveting like a chainsaw battle. Glutinous Remains, Chemically Dissolved, Huff the Stench, and the title track are prime examples of MOLDER’s choicest, meatiest cuts.

The next phase of MOLDER’s depraved death metal domination will commence after Engrossed in Decay is unleashed upon metaldom. Until then, they’ll fester wildly in and around Chicago, with the rest of North America suffering perversely with a full-scale bloodbath later in 2022.

On the eve of their European and UK 'The Carrion Tour' dates, HUNTSMEN have today released their new EP, The Dying Pines, via Prosthetic Records. The Dying Pines features two new original songs and a cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's Carry On, with the EP serving as the first glimpse of new material since the Chicago, IL bands 2020 full length, Mandala of Fear. Atlanta, GA psychedelic thrash metal quartet SADISTIC RITUAL are today premiering Maelstrom of Consciousness, the third single to be taken from their upcoming album, The Enigma, Boundless, via Distorted Sound alongside an accompanying visualizer.

Speaking on the premiere, SADISTIC RITUAL's Charlie Southern (vocals / guitar) comments: "Maelstrom of Consciousness is the chaos labyrinth that is our mind. SADISTIC RITUAL delivers classic thrash licks in spades, set against a backdrop of chugging, headbang-worthy tunes. The accessibility of their songs - which will delight metalheads across subgenres - belies the thought and consideration that goes into each element of SADISTIC RITUAL. Their strong DIY ethic means everyone’s getting their hands dirty along the way, and allows each member to play to their strengths. In the case of guitarist, Alex Parra, that includes notching up production credits on the recording of The Enigma, Boundless, Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Tomb Mold, Venom Prison) was brought in to master the album.

With a disdain for authority, and themes of real world horrors - specifically spiritual and political fears being confronted - running through the album, there’s a dark and sometimes paranoid undercurrent to the lyrical content on The Enigma, Boundless, penned by Southern and drummer, Joe Sweat. Throw in an affection for LSD and the psychedelic part of ‘psychedelic thrash’ starts to become further apparent. The Enigma, Boundless was written, recorded, and ritualized under the dystopian schism that was 2020 - and arrives here in 2022 to annihilate the fallacies of a fabricated reality.

The distinctive album art was crafted through a collaborative process between artist Erica Frevel and Sweat, who shared themes, ideas and creative directions to guide her visual representations. Bassist LaMar George worked on the album layout, making the presentation of the overall album aesthetic a truly collaborative effort - and an accurate depiction of SADISTIC RITUAL in 2022.

Prosthetic Records are delighted to announce the signing of Vancouver, Canada’s SVNEATR. The black metal group, pronounced Sun Eater, are in the process of completing their third full-length album which will be released via the Los Angeles label in due course. Alongside the signing announcement, SVNEATR are set to head out on a month long Canadian tour in support of Hexis this June. Formed in 2014 and subsequently releasing 2015’s Serpents & Storms demo before 2018 and 2021 long players The Howl, The Whisper, The Hunt and Chinook repsectively, SVNEATR’s blend of atmospheric and progressive black metal is sure to appeal to fans of Enslaved and Dark Throne as well as Opeth and Woods of Ypres.

TÓMARÚM are today premiering Condemned to a Life of Grief, the third single to be taken from their upcoming debut album Ash in Realms of Stone Icons, with an accompanying music video via Knotfest. The Atlanta, Georgia duo teamed up with Chariot of Black Moth for the track's visual accompaniment - a stark black and white film of melancholic moving images set to Condemned to a Life of Grief’s emotive progressive black metal stylings. Ash in Realms of Stone Icons is due for release via Prosthetic Records on May 6.

Start digging your bomb shelters: Australian death metal trio WEREWOLVES have today announced their return with a third full-length album, From the Cave to the Grave, due for release via Prosthetic Records on June 24.
