Montreal’s
NEURAXIS have completed the shooting for the “Darkness Prevails” video from the band’s most recent release,
The Thin Line Between. Helmed by director Chris Alsop, the clip is currently being edited, and will be available online and at video outlets shortly to coincide with
NEURAXIS’ participation on the upcoming North American tour with The Faceless, Abigail Williams, Decrepit Birth, and Veil of Maya. Photos from the video shoot
are available here.
“Working with Chris for the video has been an amazing experience,” says
NEURAXIS frontman Alex Leblanc. “He is very passionate about what he does and made us feel comfortable during the whole shoot. It was our first video so we decided to go for something simple, but added a little twist to it. We worked on the lighting to give it a special vibe, and the whole goal was basically to put a face to our music...”
“The great thing about working with
NEURAXIS was that these guys showed up, ready to go and were totally focused on making a wicked video,” Alsop adds. “And that really comes through in the performance. It was a blast to work with them. As a director, it helps when the band understands the process of a production. I worked really closely with the band in coming up with a concept. The idea was to work off the title of the song, to really play up the blacks with slashes of red, very low key lighting, and then contrast that with a Sin City-inspired look which still retains that dark edge.”

France's
GOJIRA has made the band's forthcoming release,
The Way of All Flesh, available in its entirety, streaming exclusively at the band's official
MySpace page. Scheduled for an Oct. 14 North American release through Prosthetic Records,
The Way of All Flesh, is the band's follow-up to the critically-acclaimed
From Mars To Sirius, which saw the band breakthrough in the extreme metal underground in North America through several high-profile tours, displaying
GOJIRA's monstrously huge live show.
Currently on tour with In Flames throughout Europe, where the album will see release through Listenable Records,
GOJIRA will again return to North America to wow audiences this side of the Atlantic as support for In Flames and All That Remains, along with 36 Crazy Fists throughout November and December.
The first video from
The Way of All Flesh, for the track "Vacuity," will be available online and at video outlets soon.
Meanwhile, there are several images available from the completed video
available here. French directors Julien Mokrani and Samuel Bodin captured the imagery with a RED video camera, the same used in Peter Jackson's
The Lord of the Rings movies, and seasoned theater actress Claire Theodoly plays the main protagonist amid performance footage of
GOJIRA playing the track.
